Baha'i Children's Class -- Games and Songs

Games:
http://www.puzzlemaker.com/
(or at http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com/) This site lets you create your own wordsearches, crossword puzzles, and unscramble the letters. Easy to use and you put in your own words. My Ruhi Book 3A tutor actually reminded me of this site. It is one I recommend to school teachers all the time, but had not thought of using in Bah'i Children's Classes until she mentioned it =). This is good for Book 3A to help them with the facts.

This site has some pre-made Character Education wordsearches with the Virtues on them (check out the Character Traits and Character Counts wordsearches). Some even have the wordsearches in cute shapes like a key and lock.

Songs:
http://www.ruhiresources.org/
This site has numerous resources for Baha'i Children's Classes. Click here to go directly to the section that has a pdf of the song lyrics. Also you can click here to go to the section that mentions CDs with the songs as well as sheet music.

This site is especially good for finding the songs for children's classes and being able to download them -- thanks again to my Ruhi Book 3A tutor for mentioning this site to me =)

http://www.divinenotes.com/
Download mp3s from many Baha'i singers. If you are a Baha'i singer, you can also post your songs to the site. (Another site my Ruhi Book 3A tutor told me about).

Introduction

The goal of this website is to help Baha'i Children's Class teachers by providing ideas, activities, and resources to accompany the Ruhi Book 3 lessons. To learn more about Baha'i Children's Classes and find one near you if you live in the United States, click here.

I will be providing ideas that I have used, but would be excited to hear from all of you. For example:
  • What resources have you come across?
  • What has worked well for you?
  • Or what have you learned the hard way? =)
I am a Baha'i Children's Class teacher and a school teacher by profession. If you are a school teacher as well or are a parent that is home-schooling your children, check out my other website called "Get to the Resource" at http://get2theresource.blogspot.com/

You can also find useful definitions and examples of each virtue at the Virtues Project website.
